The National Scientific Center of Surgery named after A. N. Syzganov (NSCC) is a key multidisciplinary medical institution in Almaty, founded in 1945 on the basis of a hospital for veterans and invalids of the Great Patriotic War. It is named after the outstanding scientist, talented surgeon, Honored Scientist of the Kazakh SSR, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR Alexander Nikolaevich Syzganov (1896-1980), who founded the center and developed the clinic until 1975. • Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation: NSCC is the leading transplant center in Kazakhstan, with more than 200 operations
• Cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology (stents, catheter ablations) .
